All employees at Heaven’s Land Health Services shall be W-2 employees. This shall include the CEO, QDDP, and the DSPs. Services of contractors shall also be solicited. Contractors shall include Nurses for Medication Training, CPR/First Aid Instructors, TOVA instructors, and other vendors. Over time, the agency shall train qualified and experienced staff to be TOVA Instructors and CPR/First Aid Instructors. 1099 contracts shall be signed with all of them and relevant identification, resumes, licenses, liability insurance, and other documentation shall be maintained in their files. The following are the key types and roles of personnel and contractors of the corporation:
- The CEO is responsible for implementing the strategic goals and objectives of the agency. The position provides vision and leadership towards the achievement of the corporation’s philosophy, mission, goals, and strategy, as well as its annual goals and objectives. She directs and oversees the overall operations/activities per the current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure that the highest degree of “quality” care is maintained at all times. Additionally, the position is responsible for ensuring the implementation of all policies/procedures and overseeing the fiscal management and accountability of the organization. The CEO further maintains public relations and works with the QDDP to ensure staff professional growth, development and Progress, operational efficiency, and person-centered care to all individuals supported.
- The QDDP will oversee the day-to-day operations of the residence and directly supervise all staff contractors, volunteers, and/or students.
- The QDDP will document supervisory sessions with staff in the staff personnel record.
- The QDDP will complete all assessments and Individualized Support Plans for individuals served.
- The QDDP will assess and evaluate the individual’s performance in the residence and community, monitor behavioral management, PCP implementation, and the coordination of all services.
- The QDDP Oversee the day-to-day operation of the in-home services, Supervise and directs residential staff, and ensures, amongst others, that individuals are properly supervised by qualified staff members capable of recognizing visible changes in each individual’s physical and mental condition and are capable of taking responsible action in the case of an emergency.
- Direct Support Professionals are responsible for the supervision and guidance of the individuals, overseeing the care of the individuals, managing behaviors, training on outcomes, serving as a person-centered team member for the individual, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and transporting them to medical appointments, day support and/or community events. Staff are required to be a high school graduate or to have a GED and have a minimum of one year of experience working with individuals with a developmental disability and mental illness.
- It is our policy to employ or contract with persons with appropriate training, as necessary, to meet the specialized needs of and to ensure the safety of individuals receiving in-home services with medical or nursing needs, speech, language, or hearing problems, or other needs where specialized training is necessary.
