• Male and female adolescents and adults from 10 years of age,
  • Individuals must have a primary diagnosis of a developmental or developmental disability (IQ between 50 and 70) and may have a secondary diagnosis of mental illness,
  • Individuals must be tuberculosis-free,
  • If the individual has an active Behavior Management Plan, it cannot require the use of procedures that would conflict with PLAUSIBLE CARE, INC. Human Rights Plan: time out, seclusion, intrusive aversive therapy, or mechanical restraints or a need for restrictive behavioral interventions,
  • PLAUSIBLE CARE, INC, can manage individuals’ service needs.
  • The individuals must have significant limitations in adaptive skills in two or more of the following areas: communication, self-care, home living, social skills, community use, self-direction, health and safety, functional academics, leisure and work,
  • Only individuals eligible for MR waiver funding and funds are available.

Contractors/Vendors:

All contractors used by PLAUSIBLE CARE, INC. will be fully qualified to provide the services for which they are contracted. If contract services are delivered on-site and face-to-face services are provided to individuals, contractors must undergo a background investigation and PLAUSIBLE CARE, INC. orientation. Contractors will receive one hour of supervision for every eighty hours they provide face-to-face services to individuals. Any contracted services will be provided by specialists in their given areas of expertise. As such, their services will be monitored while on-site providing face-to-face services. These individuals are not expected to require over-site supervision and will only be offered supervision more often than one hour of face-to-face services provided if a demonstrated need arises (this should not be a frequent occurrence). If more than this level of supervision is required, then the contracted services will be terminated. The one hour of supervision for every eighty hours of services will mainly be designed to provide an overview of the mission, philosophy, and expectations and to discuss recent issues and or changes.

  • Contractors will be utilized for staff training in medication administration – they will provide all staff with the required amount of training consistent with state requirements to allow non-medical staff to independently administer medication. Additionally, the contractor will provide four hours of annual updated training.
  • Behavior consultation will be used if individuals’ behavior becomes significantly disruptive to themselves or others. The behavior consultant will analyze the behavior, develop a behavioral support plan, and train staff on implementing the plan. The behavioral consultant will also monitor the effectiveness of the plan, modifying it as needed.
  • A mental health consultant will monitor individuals’ needs to include counseling, therapy, and or medication management.
  • Contractors will be used for payroll and billing purposes.
  • Contractors will be used for managing the agency pharmacy needs

Services Inconsistent with Service Description

PLAUSIBLE CARE, INC. will not implement any service that is inconsistent with what is included in the most current service description.

Additionally, if services need to be modified, the program description will be forwarded to the Office of Licensing before implementing the change.
